Now the iTunes sync works to install app updates, podcasts, music, etc. I told iTunes not to sync any photos but to keep the current photos on the iPhone. iTunes Error: You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. I had to basically setup a brand new iTunes library, download everything from the iTunes Store and setup every single device associated with iTunes all over again. If the issue doesn't come back, it was probably caused by a cache or directory issue with your startup disk, which safe mode fixed. However, none of these remedies resolved my issue. If the issue comes back, you might have incompatible login items. I knew to try to repair permissions AND changing the Read/Write status on the iTunes folder in the Finder. I’m sure there’s a slicker fix for this, but I don’t need to download songs that often as I prefer CDs, so I hope this helps someone else.I've been experiencing this issue for several months. I then used “Add To Library” under the iTunes menu, pointed at the “Downloads” folder on the NAS, and it worked fine. The Amazon downloader had put the songs in the “Downloads” folder under my user account, so I just copied them across to the “Downloads” folder in the NAS “iTunes Media” folder that I mentioned above.
